Working to remove the stigma of mental ill-health in the workplace.

Updated: Apr 8, 2019

Mental ill-health in the workplace still has a stigma attached to it in some companies. My aim is to help normalise it so that it is seen in much the same way as physical illness. Earlier this week I was invited, along with a colleague, by Minds@Work to do a talk.

I was honoured to be invited to speak at the Minds@Work event earlier this week with a colleague Amanda Lambert. The full video can be seen here:

Minds@Work is a movement with a simple purpose: to remove the stigma linked to mental ill-health in the workplace.

They ask leaders from a range of businesses to share their stories so that more and more people feel able and comfortable to talk about it if they’re not OK.

There is still work to do but this felt like another great step in the right direction.
