Consider all thoughts and emotions as guests, most will only stay with you temporarily.

Rumi wrote this poem back in the 13th - 14th century; it is still highly relevant today. All things in life are sent to teach us something. All of these things have the ability to make us stronger.

This poem was shared with me recently and I wanted to pay it forward. It is by a fellow called Rumi, a 13th-century Sufi mystic. It is still highly relevant today.

So, yes, welcome all the thoughts and emotions as if they were guests; all of them will teach you something. Most - if not all - will be temporary visitors and may well be preparing you to be stronger / better in the next stage of your life.

I have learned this myself. Although the very low moments can feel like a dark hole, embracing them for what they are means that the ‘benefit‘ of the experience can see us emerge stronger and better equiped to deal with whatever the future throws at us.

Keep well all.
